Susan McKeon is Chief Financial Officer and Associate Laboratory Director for Business Services at the U.S. Department of Energy’s Brookhaven National Laboratory. With more than 30 years at Brookhaven, she has held roles across scientific and mission-support organizations. She leads financial operations for an annual budget exceeding $900 million and a workforce of more than 2,800 employees, overseeing forecasting, reporting, and performance management. She holds a bachelor’s degree and MBA in finance from Long Island University/CW Post and a doctorate in business administration from Walden University. A certified Project Management Professional, she also holds advanced certifications in project and public management.
McKeon serves on the Board of Girls Inc. of Long Island and its Finance Committee and is Chair of the Business, Audit and Technology Committee for Savannah River National Laboratory. She also serves various industry forums in an advisory capacity.
