Marie Sienkowski is a Senior Director, Analyst in Gartner's CIO and AI Leaders team. Her most recent research efforts have focused on business readiness and the process redesign required to realize value from AI initiatives. Over the last few years, Marie has focused on talent management topics, including the identification and development of potential product managers within organizations undertaking the shift from projects to products, and transforming IT talent through adaptive hiring and development strategies. She advises CIOs and senior executives on their most critical strategic priorities, drawing on rich case studies and cross‑industry best practices distilled from organizations’ successes and setbacks.
Prior to joining Gartner, Ms. Sienkowski spent more than 15 years working for and with CIOs, mainly in sourcing, vendor management and software asset management roles. She has worked for publicly held manufacturing companies, including First Solar, Owens Corning and Pilkington North America (formerly Libbey-Owens-Ford, and now NSG), as well as retailer Borders Group and privately held media company Crain Communications.
